HSBC enhances Vienna Library

A $7,500 check was presented on May 14th from the 'world's local bank' to underwrite children's programs at the Patrick Henry Library. HSBC's Mid-Atlantic regional president, Aimee Daniels, and bank branch manager, Hong Pham presented the check to library branch manager, Sheila Janega, and Fairfax Library Foundation executive director, Bobbi Longworth, at the opening celebration of the new Vienna branch. Mayor Jane Seeman, cut the ribbon for the newest business in the Town of Vienna as reported in the Washington Business Journal.

Additional library budget cuts likely in 2012

Despite pleas from the Fairfax County Public Libray Trustees, Fairfax County Supervisors state that restoration of reduced library hours will likely not take place in the near future. Read more.
