Budget Cuts = Discontinued Subscriptions + More

The Washington Post reports on discontinued periodical subscriptions, in addition to the ceased "Ask A Librarian" and the "Tutor.com Learning Suite" including Live online Homework Help, resulting from drastic library cuts. Despite the increase in public library branch usage, the Fairfax County Public Library budget is expected to be reduced by a full third within a two year span.

The pain of Fairfax County Public Library program cuts, both underway and projected, are noted in The Fairfax Times article and the editorial cartoon (left).
